Softening systems with central valve control

Softening system with a central control valve consisting of two softening containers, which are filled with ion exchange material

The softening systems with a central control valve generally consist of one or two softening containers, which are filled with ion exchange material. They have a central valve with which they can be operated fully automatically.

If the capacity of the ion exchange resin is exhausted, regeneration with salt brine takes place. The regeneration is triggered when the preset amount of water has been softened. The adjustable forced regeneration ensures sanitary operation.

Depending on the application, different versions are used:

Individual softening systems

  • Ion exchange resin housed in corrosion-resistant GRP pressure tank
  • A separate container for brine (larger quantities of regenerating salt can be filled).
  • Soft water supply is interrupted during regeneration (optional: subsequent devices are shut down by potential-free changers).
  • Volume: 60-2,000 m3 x °dH

Cabinet Softening Systems

  • very small footprint due to the integration of an ion exchange resin-filled pressure tank directly into the cabinet container.
  • Soft water supply is interrupted during regeneration (optional: subsequent devices are shut down by potential-free changers).
  • Volume: 40-120 m3 x °dH

Double softening systems

  • two GRP pressure tanks with ion exchange resin
  • separate container for brine
  • There is no interruption in supply during regeneration (the softener operates completely automatically in pendulum mode).
  • Volume: 60-2,000 m3 x °dH
