Mikrofiltration

Like ultrafiltration, microfiltration is a membrane filtration process. However, the pore width of the microfiltration membrane is larger (> 50 nm). Here, in addition to water molecules, ions, dissolved substances and viruses also pass through the membrane. Accordingly, suspended particles and bacteria can be retained with microfiltration.

Application:

  • Bacterial retention
  • Particle reduction
