Flotation

Flotation is a floating process. Substances suspended or suspended in the water are separated by gas bubbles adhering to their surface and transporting them to the water surface. There they could be separated by means of a clearing system.
As a rule, appropriate flocculants are first metered into the water in a flocculation tank. After flocculation, the water enters a second basin, the flotation basin. Here, fine air bubbles are blown into the water and the light flake-air particles can form. These float up due to the lower density compared to the water.
