Filtration (fabric/plastic filters)

Filter inserts made of plastic fibers (polypropylene, polyester, viscose, etc.) are also frequently used as the filter medium. The industrially prefabricated filter inserts are manufactured as filter cartridges, bag filters, filter fleece or filter cloth. They are used in pressure-resistant filter housings (filter cartridges, bag filters) or in belt filters. The filter materials usually have to be changed after appropriate loading, some filters can be designed to be backwashable.
The function of these filters is always based on screen filtration, which can be implemented as both surface and depth filtration. The separation limit can be selected between 5 and 150 µm, depending on the application and the selected filter technology.
