Deacidification

The deacidification filter is used to bind free carbonic acid from well water and the permeate of a reverse osmosis system. The carbonate filter granulate deacidifies the water and raises the pH value to the range of the Drinking Water Ordinance (pH 6.5–9.0). The concentration of calcium and hydrogen carbonate ions increases slightly, so that the water no longer has a corrosive effect.

Continuous or discontinuous operation is possible, since the filter material does not cause an increase in the pH beyond the limits of the drinking water ordinance, even during downtimes.

The filter consists of a GRP container, an upper and lower filter nozzle, a connection fitting (filter head), and is filled with a gravel support layer and carbonate filter material (ROWAlith). The filter material is approved according to the Drinking Water Ordinance. The filter systems are very compact and can be easily installed in existing systems.
